Here's what the National Weather Service says we can expect over the weekend.
Exchange the shorts and t-shirts this weekend for light jackets and rain boots - forecasters are promising somewhat chilly, wet weather in Roswell. According to the National Weather Service's Hazardous Weather Outlook, a front from the west will bring widespread showers throughout north Georgia beginning Friday night, through the weekend into Sunday. Strong winds are possible within the system, but no thunderstorms are expected. Rainfall could reach up to two inches in certain areas. Don't get too comfortable with the sunny skies and warm temperatures that graced Roswell with their presence over the weekend. Local residents will see another batch of storms and cooler temperatures throughout the week. The storms, some of which could turn severe, will move into the area mid-morning on Monday and will stick around into Monday night. After a chilly weekend, Roswell will soon see rain and warmer temperatures.

Following a warm weekend in the 70s, Georgia is set for rain, cooler temps and maybe even a blast of cold air from the north. A rainy Monday and Tuesday accompany cooler weather and a cold front, as it moves from out west to the east by midweek, according to The Weather Channel. It's not yet clear how far south the cold air would reach as the jet stream dips. Forecasters give Roswell a 90 percent chance of rain on Monday, when the high is expected to reach 60, and 80 percent chance on Tuesday with a high of 55, according to the National Weather Service. As the pouring rain this morning showed us it's a wet day and expect it to stay that way. The National Weather Service forecast for Roswell put the chance for rain at 100 percent this afternoon, dropping to 30 percent tonight. Rainfall amounts between a quarter and a half of an inch are possible. It will get pretty cool tonight, with a low around 29. Rain won't be a problem, but wind will. Despite the chilly start to the morning, temperatures are expected to climb to 84 degrees this afternoon. Tomorrow, the day starts out with a 40 percent chance of showers and the chance increases throughout the afternoon.
