Taking a moment to remember the joys and successes of 2010 can help you start the new year off right.

Have you ever had a meal that was so delicious, even though you were completely stuffed, you couldn't help but ask for a second helping?  You know, that moment when you know that you are completely making a pig of yourself but the taste was just too good to pass up? We all have moments like that throughout the year. It might be a really small moment, like watching your daughter take her first steps, or hearing something so funny that you spend the next ten minutes chuckling about it. Reflecting on the Past and Imagining the Future

Spending time reflecting on the past year now can lead to a more fulfilling life in the new year.

  The last week of the year is a natural time to slow down, take a small breather and reflect on the year that has past.  A lot of people begin making their lists of new year's resolutions around this time, but I've never been a big fan of them.  Have you ever REALLY made a resolution that lasted past March? Me either. Last year around this time I discovered a blogger from Brooklyn who wrote about choosing a "word" for the year.  Instead of making resolutions, Jen Lee chooses a word that acts as a focal point and reminder of her goals for the year.  I tried that this year but to be honest, I can't even remember what my word for the year was anymore!
