New Southern Restaurant 'With Flair' to Open in Historic Roswell

The Mill Kitchen & Bar is set to open in late February or early March.

A quiet buzz has been building on social media around the new restaurant taking over the space that Relish and then Pico once occupied at the Roswell Square. It's pretty safe to assume that as its opening nears, The Mill Kitchen & Bar's buzz will likely become a roar. The new restaurant has Randy and Scott McCray of McCray's Tavern in Lawrenceville and Symrna and Carolyn's Gourmet Cafe in Midtown teaming up with Chef Marc Taft of Chicken and The Egg The menu will feature Southern American comfort food with a contemporary twist, seasonally inspired and locally sourced. On the website, the restaurant is described with the following statement: In the South, we are kept up at night remembering our grandmother’s fried chicken, our mother’s …

So far, in the year it has been open, the Roswell Tap's reception has been even better than he could have hoped. Aiming to recreate a hangout like Eddie’s Attic in Decatur - known for giving the Indigo Girls their start - or Smith’s Olde Bar in Midtown - which has hosted such artists as David Bowie and Train - McDonough found backers and they opened the Roswell Tap on Alpharetta Street. “The goal was really just to highlight music, and in every case to highlight local music,” McDonough told Patch. In the past year, the Tap has done a lot more than that. Under chef Alana Taylor, …

All Things Local for Roswell's Table & Main

Coming in late July, Table & Main plans to bring a local feel to Roswell's food scene.

Restaurants are inspired by many things. The inspiration behind one of Roswell’s newest additions says a lot about the restaurant’s goal for its service. The homecoming description isn’t far off for Table & Main…
