McDonnell Group Moves to New Offices in Roswell

Thanks to new initiatives like the Roswell Business Alliance and an expanded Opportunity Zone, more businesses are setting up shop in Roswell.

Roswell Business Alliance Courts Brokers, Agents

Local leaders considered a recent luncheon geared toward property investors a step in the right direction for economic development.

The Roswell Business Alliance (RBA), in partnership with Progress Partners of Greater North Fulton and the city of Roswell, hosted "Building Opportunity Roswell" at Little Alley Steak on Canton Street last week. Ale Yeah! Opens in Roswell

The South Atlanta Street craft beer store is now open.

One store just wasn't enough for Ale Yeah! owner Eddie Holley, who opened a Roswell location as well on Aug. 1. Already having established a following in Decatur, the market hopes to draw north metro residents with the new location in Roswell. Roswell Mayor Jere Wood, several city council members and the Roswell Business Alliance were on hand to cut the ribbon and welcome Holley's new store to the city. Ale Yeah's Roswell store is located at 408 South Atlanta Street, #157. They are open Tuesday – Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday – Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.  They are closed on Monday. Dave Schmit Honored by Roswell Business Alliance

Schmit was recognized for his "outstanding and consistent efforts in economic development" locally.

The Roswell Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Roswell Business Alliance (RBA) recently honored Dave Schmit as the 2011 Recipient of the Economic Development Award. The award was presented during the organizations’ Annual Meeting and Award Ceremony at the Holiday Inn on Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell. The Economic Development Award was created to recognize outstanding and consistent efforts in economic development. Schmit was presented the award for his efforts in continuously supporting strong economic development in Roswell through his own projects, as well as heading the 2030 comprehensive plan and serving on the newly activated Downtown Development Authority. Community Members Honored for Commitment to Better Roswell

The Roswell Convention & Visitors Bureau honored locals during its 21 Annual Meeting and Community Awards, Tuesday night.

Hundreds of local residents and members of the business community turned out Tuesday evening to toast those who've made great strides for Roswell over the past year. Together, the Roswell Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Roswell Business Alliance (RBA) - the new public-private partnership between the CVB and the city - hosted the annual community awards meeting at the Holiday Inn on Holcomb Bridge Road. The evening provided community members the opportunity to both have some fun and do a little networking. Kicking off the banquet dinner, the cast of the Georgia Ensemble Theatre's Ring of Fire: The Johnny Cash Musical Show reprised some favorites from the show, which just closed last weekend. Roswell has Historic Month for Business Openings

The new Roswell Business Alliance helped cut the ribbons on 10 new businesses in the city during February.

February was a month for the Roswell record books when it came to business. Ten local companies and organizations cut the ribbons and swung open the doors on new ventures inside the Roswell city limits. Long regarded as one of the least business friendly cities in the north metro Atlanta area, Roswell seems to be in the midst of a sort of renaissance. Many believe the change in thinking is thanks in big part to the city's new partnership with the Roswell Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) in the form of the Roswell Business Alliance (RBA), a public/private partnership between the CVB and the city, which serves as the collective voice for local businesses.
