RUMC Job Networking to Host Paid TV Casting Call Monday

Clark Howard will film his prime time show at the church job networking program later that evening, Feb. 25. Guests are welcome to watch the program, but tickets must be picked up at the church during the afternoon.

Hollywood is calling, but you won't have to leave Roswell to answer. Stop by Roswell United Methodist Church's (RUMC) Job Networking program Monday, Feb. 25 to see if you have "the look" Bill Marinella Casting is seeking with casting calls at the church from noon until 3 p.m. The casting agency is looking for television extras. Potential background talent need to sign up and have a professional photo taken by the crew, according to the Bill Marinella Facebook page. The agency will sign some people on the spot for immediate work. "Extra work is a great PAID opportunity to get a few dollars in your pocket until you reach your goals." 'Mini' Job Fair on Monday, Dec. 10 is the first event in which the Roswell United Methodist Church Job Networking Program and the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce are partnered.

A grassroots, volunteer job networking program is forming an alliance with a group of businesses to lower unemployment and help North Fulton job seekers find work. The Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the nationally acclaimed Roswell United Methodist Church (RUMC) Job Networking Program, said chamber CEO Brandon Beach. In forming this strategic alliance, the chamber will work with the RUMC in its mission to lower unemployment and match job seekers to openings in North Fulton. Mini-Job Fair Scheduled for Monday

Roswell United Methodist's monthly job fair will take place Monday, Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m.

Many local and regional employers will return for another round of interviews during the Monday, Sept. 24 Mini-Job Fair at Roswell United Methodist Church. Companies set to be on-hand include: Additional hiring companies are being added daily. Go to the church's website for the updated list of employers and the agenda. Roswell United Methodist Opens Mini-Job Fair to Employers

Are you looking to hire? Sign up to attend the mini-job fair at Roswell United Methodist Church, Aug. 27.

Roswell United Methodist Church is putting out the figurative "help wanted" sign to employers seeking position applicants. The church's job networking ministry is currently lining up companies for its upcoming mini-job fair, Aug. 27. According to an e-mail sent out by ministry volunteers, the mini-job fairs typically attract between 250-275 people. Employers are assigned an area where they can make a short presentation, take resumes and have conversations with candidates. The mini events have previously been so successful that some companies begin signing up for the next event before any announcements are ever posted, stated the e-mail. The church's Job Networking program will host another mini job fair during its regular monthly meeting, Monday, June 11.

Although Roswell's 6.3 unemployment rate was the lowest in the state among cities of comparable size, there are still those who need jobs - sooner rather than later, preferably. To help get locals back to work, Roswell United Methodist Church's monthly Job Networking Program will hold another Mini Job Fair, Monday, June 11.   This month, the Roswell Rotary has sponsored the event, which will recruit able candidates for a plethora of positions throughout the metro area. Roswell United Methodist Church Holds Mini Job Fair Monday

Check out the list of employers who will be on hand with availabilities at Roswell United Methodist's job networking event Monday, April 23.

Jobseekers can expect a little more job networking help than usual from the semimonthly event at Roswell United Methodist Church on Monday, when local employers set up a mini job fair to fill vacant positions. The church's job networking, which begins with workshops at 1 p.m., is held every second and fourth Monday of the month. But this upcoming event will pack and bigger punch than usual. After the 5:45 p.m. dinner, eight local employers will shop open positions ranging from sales to janatorial and everything in between during the April 23 mini job fair event, from 7 p.m. until 7:50 p.m. Following the job fair author and keynote speaker, Chuck Russell, will address attendees. Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Application Meeting Planned

Local residents can find out whether they meet Habitat for Humanity homeownership eligibility requirements.

The city of Roswell has partnered with an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity of North Central Georgia called North Georgia Community Housing Development Corporation to acquire approximately six homes for rehabilitation and resale to Habitat families. But in order to purchase the homes, families will need to meet certain eligibility requirements first. The organization will host a homeownership application meeting on Sunday, March 4. Roswell United Methodist Church Ministers to the Unemployed

RUMC's job-networking ministry offers practical help for job-seekers.

Every second and fourth Monday night, there are so many cars in the Roswell United Methodist Church (RUMC) parking lot you might think it's a Sunday morning. But the people who pack the church on Mondays need to be ministered to in a different way and that's exactly why the church began its job-networking ministry over two decades ago. Resumes in hand, local jobseekers have sought council and direction from RUMC’s ever-growing job-networking ministry. The ministry began in 1989 and for the first few years, only a handful of volunteers and jobseekers came together. Now, over 20 years later, more than 350 volunteers help run the job-networking ministry at RUMC. There are at least eight different workshops that run throughout the day for …
