CURE Childhood Cancer will hold the 5th annual Sam Robb Memorial 5K and Fun Run at Newtown Park in Johns Creek this Saturday, Feb. 9 at 8 a.m. The race honors Sam Robb, the son of Sam and Annamarie Robb of Roswell, an athlete who lost his battle with osteosarcoma at the age of 20 in 2007. Event proceeds benefit The Sam Robb Fund of CURE Childhood Cancer. The first Sam Robb Memorial 5K Run/Walk was held in November 2008 and organized by Andrew George, Sam’s friend, fellow Centennial High School graduate and the son of pediatric oncologist Brad George, who treated Sam throughout his illness. “I remember Sam’s perseverance and his quiet strength as he went through treatment,” Andrew George said. “I organized this race not only to honor Sam’…

The family of former Blessed Trinity athlete continues the fight against cancer, even after his death from osteosarcoma with the 4th Annual "Sam Robb Memorial 5K and Fun Run" to be held in Newtown Park in Johns Creek this Saturday, Feb. 4.
