Calvin Myers, 40, once faced the death sentence for viciously killing his former girlfriend. Instead, he will spend the rest of his life, plus an additional eighty years in prison, says the Fulton County District Attorney's Office. Myers pled guilty and was sentenced Friday morning before Superior Court Judge Henry Newkirk to charges of murder, felony murder, three counts of aggravated assault, possession of a knife during the commission of a felony and criminal damage to property for the 2009 stabbing and beating death of Minka Grogran, 40.
