Donate goods to City Antiques and at least half of the proceeds goes to benefit The Drake House.
The Drake Closet, a ladies’ resale boutique which benefits The Drake House, announced a new partnership with City Antiques & Interiors on Monday. Supporting The Drake House just got easier: City Antiques will pick up unwanted furniture and household items at no cost, as well as organize estates sales to help those who are moving, downsizing, or just want to freshen up the décor in their home. And at least half of the proceeds will benefit the programs for homeless mothers and their children. The Drake House provides short-term crisis housing, support, education and empowerment to homeless mothers and their children. The city has one of the lowest unemployment rates in North Fulton.
A smaller percentage of Roswell's labor force was jobless in September than August, and its 6.5 percent unemployment in September was the second lowest in cities reported by the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) today. Roswell's unemployment rate dropped fourth-tenths of a percentage point from August's revised rate of 6.9 percent. Alpharetta's rate declined to 6.3 percent, which also was down four-tenths of a point from its revised August rate of 6.7 percent. It's is the lowest unemployment rate of any moderately-sized city by the GDOL.
