Todd Matthew Schenk of Roswell was recently honored for outstanding academic achievement at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and the Dean's List during the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. Schenk earned one of the college's top academic honors, a Gold Star. Gold Stars are presented to students who achieve a 3.7 grade point average or higher during a semester's course work. Gold Stars are worn on the collar of the cadet full dress and dress uniforms and the summer leave uniform. Schenk is a cadet seeking a bachelor's degree in Business Administration at The Citadel. Connor Joseph Brechbill, a 2009 graduate of Roswell High School, has been named to the Dean's List at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. Brechbill received the honor for his academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. He is a cadet seeking a bachelor's degree in Political Science. Dean's List recognition is given to those students whose grade point average is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the previous semester's work. Cadets Samuel Glenn Cowart and Brian Dopson, both of Roswell, were recently honored for outstanding academic achievement at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, during the fall semester of the 2011-2012 academic year. Cowart earned one of the college's top academic honors, a Gold Star. Cowart is seeking a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Dopson is seeking a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Business Administration. Gold Stars are presented to students who achieve a 3.7 grade point average or higher during a semester's course work.
