The final section of Westside Parkway from Old Milton to Webb Bridge had its ceremonial parade of cars.
North Fulton Community Improvement District officials and other local leaders, including Roswell Mayor Jere Wood, turned Westside Parkway into a parking lot this afternoon. Officials say the last section of Westside Parkway in nearby Alpharetta should be opened in April as long as the good weather holds. Alpharetta City Council passed a resolution Monday, Nov. 28, that OKs agreements between two property owners that control land on which the last stretch of Westside Parkway has been mostly built. With a push led by City Councilman Chris Owens and negotiations by City Attorney Sam Thomas, Alpharetta will acquire the two properties. City Administrtor Bob Regus made the announcement at City Hall during Monday's council meeting. Yes. I live in Alpharetta and work in midtown. In the last 2 years it seems the congestion on 400 has doubled. I drove the new section this morning from Windward Pkwy to Mansell Road. It was a dream compared to sitting in that traffic on 400. more ›
