Meet "Lisa Marie"! This Chihuahua mix is 1-2 years old and weighs in at 8 pounds of joy, fun and love!  Lisa Marie is fully crate-trained, and has no issues with being crated. She is almost fully housebroken, but still does best when she has access to being taken out to potty during the day. This pup is great with other dogs, ignores her foster's kitty and although she is not aggressive at all, true to her breed, she is a "barker."  Lisa Marie had a very rough start in life: she was literally saved from death row, was scheduled to be euthanized but saved at the last minute by Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.  After being rescued, she was taken to one of Angels' vets and somehow slipped through the hands of one of their vet techs and took off! …

Loving German Shepherd/Corgi Seeks Forever Home

Gunther is available for adoption from Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.

Meet Gunther, a male German Shepherd/Corgi mix who is around 1 year old and weighs about 25 pounds. He may gain a bit more weight, but not much. This sweet boy has the face of a German Shepherd, but the body of a Corgi.  Since he is so "low" to the ground, he's commonly referred to as a "low-rider,"but when it comes to love, this boy has a huge heart.  Little Gunther is neutered, micro-chipped, up-to-date on all his shots and vetting and is ready for his new home and family.  This boy came to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue when he was found as a stray, wandering around alone in a dangerous apartment complex in Gwinnett County.  Since we have no other previous information on him, it's hard to know exactly what happened to him during his time on…

Beautiful 'Bunny' Looking For A Home

Sharpei mix available for adoption from Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.

Meet little Bunny - a beautiful Sharpei mix who's a pure bundle of sweetness and love. Bunny is 13 weeks old, weighs approximately 10 to 12 pounds, is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots and vetting and is ready to go to her forever home and family. This wonderful bundle of joy is 90 percent house- and crate-trained, although being young she will tend to whimper just a bit at first but quickly settles down and is no problem whatsoever in her crate.  Bunny is great with other dogs, cats, children and adults - she has no aggression issues whatsoever. She is content to just curl up in a warm blanket an snooze away the day, but she is always up for a two-mile run with her foster, chasing the wind along the river trails for the afternoon…

Loving, Curious Dog Needs Forever Home

Greenlee is available for adoption through Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.

Greenlee is a female Lab/shepherd mix who is 10 months old and weighs approximately 35 pounds. Greenlee is spayed, up-to-date on all her shots, is crate-trained, as she sleeps in her crate at night.  She is also house-trained, with reminders to "pick a spot" when she is outside to do her business. Greenlee came to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue from a rural shelter where she was turned in as a "stray."   When she was rescued by Angels Among Us, she was around 6 months old, thin and very sick. Additionally, she was extremely afraid of everything and everyone. Australian Shepherd Mix Looking for a Home

Katelyn is 2 years old and weighs 55 pounds.

Meet beautiful Katelyn. She is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Anatolian Shepher mix who weighs 55 pounds and acts younger than her age.   This precious girl is spayed, completely house-trained, up-to-date on all her shots and is micro-chipped.  Katelyn's story with Angels Among Us Pet Rescue started when a volunteer found her daughter, Bertha, in a local high-kill shelter. When the volunteer arrived to save Bertha, she realized her mom (Katelyn) was also housed in the pen next to Bertha.  Since Angels does not leave family behind, the volunteer lovingly took Katelyn with Bertha, and both were saved that day. Loving German Shepherd Mix Needs Home

Bogart is 50 pounds of grace and affection.

This is Bogart, a male white German Shepherd-mix dog, who weighs approximately 50 pounds and is a little over a year old.  Bogart was found one Sunday afternoon in a rural shelter by one of the co-founders of Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. She was told he only had a few hours to live before the time scheduled to put thim down. She took him outside, to give him one more opportunity to feel the sun on his face, to romp and play and be free for a little while before his time would come to cross the rainbow bridge.  Instead of running and playing, or even begging for the treats in her pocket, this beautiful white dog chose to tenderly place his face in her hands, resting there while he soaked up the touch of a human who had taken some time to …

Sweet Jasmine Looking For Loving Home

Affectionate tortoiseshell feline is ready for adoption.

Sweet Jasmine, a young tortoiseshell cat, was rescued from an animal control facility last summer. As the shelter worker was cleaning her cage, she cried for his attention and jumped into his arms. At that point, our visiting volunteer knew we had to save her.  Jasmine stayed with our cat program coordinator for the next 3 months until she found an adoptive home. Sadly, we recently received an email asking us to take her back because of some litter box issues. We quickly found out that Jasmine had developed a urinary tract infection, which had caused her to urinate outside the box. (Cat owners should always take their cat to a vet when there is a sudden change in litter box habits!) At any rate, that issue was quickly resolved once she …

Dynamic Duo Looking For Forever Home

Rescued from an animal shelter, two young litter mates are ready for adoption.

Brantley and Brayden were saved from a shelter with their two sisters, Eloise and Eleanora. All four puppies went to the same foster home and the sisters were adopted quickly.   Both Brantley and Brayden are almost a year old and each weigh about 40 pounds. The vet thinks they won’t get much larger than they are now.  They are sweet young dogs and get along very well with the foster’s two children and her own two dogs. Brantley is cute, with black and white markings on his chest and face. He also has white feet.   Brantley loves to play with sticks, pine cones and any toys. He also loves to play tug of war and tosses his ball up in the air by himself. His favorite game is to wrestle and play chase with his brother and two foster sisters…

Golden-Shepherd Mix Looking for Forever Home

Meet Blake, a beautiful Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix available through Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. Blake is approximately 1-2 years old and is such a stunning dog when you see him in person. He has a beautiful combination of golden brown fur, with tips of dark black along the edges, and the most beautiful golden brown eyes you'd ever want to gaze into. Blake obviously was blessed with the best traits of both breeds, and it shows when you meet him. Blake is a calm boy who is so sweet, walks great on a leash, doesn't chew or destroy his toys or anything else in his foster home.  He is also house trained.  Blake isn't crate-trained, but he's shown no reason in his foster home to be crated. A Large Canine Heart Looking for a Home

Meet Woody, a male Flat Coated Retriever who’s approximately 1-2 years old and looking for a family to call his very own. When this gorgeous boy came to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, he had been left outside to fend for himself at the end of a rope, with no one to really care for him, teach him and most importantly, love him the way he so deserves. There was a lot of interest in him until the rescue group found out he was heartworm positive. Luckily, he found a wonderful foster family who is nursing him back to full health.
