'Hire A Hero' Career Expo Helps Vets Find Jobs Next Week
The expo will be held Jan. 30 in Marietta.
The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) will assist Solid Hires and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) with a career expo for veterans and other job seekers Wednesday, Jan. 30. A team of military resume writers from Washington, D.C. will be on hand to help the veterans prepare their resumes. And, a seminar will be conducted on personal branding and social media to help the veterans learn how to get in touch with potential employers. The Tuskegee Airmen, an historical military group, will also participate. The expo will feature a number of employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers.
