Jimmy Meyer, quarterback: Rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown and passed for 34 yards and a touchdown. Matt Deshong: Returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown. FELLOWSHIP CHRISTIAN Stephen Lantz: Rushed for 112 yards and had six tackles on defense. James Wilson: Had seven tackles, and had 19 rushing yards on offense. Conor Linneen: Had six tackles. Roswell Patch Football Honor Roll Player of the Week Blais Furse/Fellowship Christian It was Senior Night for Fellowship Christian and quarterback Blais Furse didn't disappoint. The senior's three-touchdown performance was the key for the Paladins in their 30-18 win over Southwest Atlanta Christian last week. Furse completed 4 of 6 passes for 89 yards and rushed for 34 yards and the three touchdowns as Fellowship improved to 4-4. Other top performers: FELLOWSHIP CHRISTIAN Tyler Hart, running back: Rushed 13 times for 76 yards. James Wilson, running back: Had 11 carries, 67 yards. The Paladins downed Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy 30-18 to improve record to 4-4.
Senior quarterback Blais Furse rushed for three touchdowns to lead Fellowship Christian School to a 30-18 victory over Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy of College Park at Paladin Field Friday on Senior Night. The Paladins took leads of 21-6 in the second quarter and 23-12 on a safety with 1:45 left in the third quarter as they improved to 4-4 with two games to play. The Paladins travel to Pace Academy on Friday, Oct. 28, looking to reach five wins in a season for the first time since the school finished 11-2 in 2007. The Paladins have now posted four or more victories in one season four times in school history, including 4-6 in 2008, 4-7 in 2006 and 5-6 in 2005.  “A win is a win, and we will take it,” FCS head coach Hunter Chadwick said…

Roswell Patch Football Honor Roll Player of the Week Davis Plowman/Blessed Trinity Sometimes kickers only get noticed in football when they make a mistake, but that's not the case for Blessed Trinity's Davis Plowman. The senior made one of the biggest kicks in program history last week — a 49-yarder with 16 seconds remaining — as the Titans beat Lovett 31-28 and take the lead in the Region 6-AA, Division B standings. Plowman made two other field goals in the game. Other top performers: BLESSED TRINITY Jordan Denson, running back: Rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown on 28 carries. Roswell Patch Football Honor Roll Player of the Week Wade Francis/Centennial Wade Francis had a career game in Centennial's 32-30 win over Roswell. The wide receiver caught eight passes for 200 yards — accounting for all of the Knights' passing yards. He also scored a touchdown. But perhaps the biggest play came at the end of the game. He recovered the onside kick that put the Knights in position to kick the game-winninh field goal. Other top performers: CENTENNIAL Jimmy Meyer, quarterback: Completed 9 of 18 passes for 200 yards and a touchdown; rushed for 25 yards and three touchdowns. Patriots defeat Paladins 35-14.
The Mount Pisgah Patriots celebrated their homecoming with a 35-14 Region 5-A North win over Fellowship Christian Friday. The victory improved Mount Pisgah to 4-2 overall, 2-1 in the subregion. Fellowship Christian fell to 3-3 and 1-3. After mounting a long drive in the first quarter, Mount Pisgah scored first on a quarterback keeper by Kyle Sloter. The first quarter closed out with the Patriots up 7-0 on the Paladins. At the 10:40 mark of the second quarter, Sloter connected with Oz Dixon on a scoring pass to give Mount Pisgah a 14-0 advantage. Fellowship Christian answered with a long drive on its next possession, which culminated with Stephen Lantz's 3-yard TD run, cutting the Patriots lead to 14-7 at halftime. On Mt. Pisgah's first …
