Roswell Patch Football Honor Roll Top performances from last week's games: CENTENNIAL Zietrick Smith, running back: Rushed 32 times for 129 yards and a touchdown, and caught a touchdown pass. Jimmy Meyer, quarterback: Rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown and passed for 34 yards and a touchdown. Matt Deshong: Returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown. FELLOWSHIP CHRISTIAN Stephen Lantz: Rushed for 112 yards and had six tackles on defense. James Wilson: Had seven tackles, and had 19 rushing yards on offense. Conor Linneen: Had six tackles. Roswell Patch Football Honor Roll Player of the Week Davis Plowman/Blessed Trinity Sometimes kickers only get noticed in football when they make a mistake, but that's not the case for Blessed Trinity's Davis Plowman. The senior made one of the biggest kicks in program history last week — a 49-yarder with 16 seconds remaining — as the Titans beat Lovett 31-28 and take the lead in the Region 6-AA, Division B standings. Centennial player's blocked extra-point provided 21-20 win over Milton.
Roswell Patch Football Honor Roll Player of the Week Camrin Carty/Centennial Camrin Carty made perhaps the biggest play of the season for the Centennial Knights. Milton was lining up for what would have been a game-tying extra-point field goal in the final minute of last Thursday’s game against the Knights. But Carty slid through the line and batted down Milton kicker Chris Mills’ field goal try and Centennial escaped with a 21-20 win. “Camrin is a great special teams player,” said Centennial Assistant Head Coach Jeff Burch, who added that Carty said he “got skinny” to get through the line and make the big play. “As a coach, when you need a big play on special teams you have to be able to count on your seniors to make the big play and he …

Roswell Patch High School Football Honor Roll Player of the Week Christian Robinson/Centennial Christian Robinson had a game about which few sophomores can boast. In Centennial's 45-41 loss to Wheeler Friday, Robinson accounted for three touchdowns, catching 11 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 24 yards and another TD. Roswell Patch High School Football Honor Roll PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Andrew Kwateng/Roswell High School It's been a tough string of games for the Roswell Hornets, who are 0-3 after consecutive losses to Gwinnett County schools. Running back Andrew Kwateng has been a bright spot, however. Kwateng had 20 carries for 145 yards and a touchdown in last week's 49-14 loss to state-ranked Norcross.
