Mayor Wood Declares 2013 'Marriage Week' in Roswell
The special week is set for Feb. 7-14.
Roswell Mayor Jere Wood recently declared Feb. 7-14 "Marriage Week" in Roswell this year. The special week is held in conjunction with Our Marriage Matters, a Roswell based marriage and family initiative to strengthen and build healthy marriages and families. The local group will host a complimentary date night for married couples on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 4 p.m. at the Best Western, 907 Holcomb Bridge Road. The event will provide married couples with a free session and a free marriage guide book on how to protect and preserve their marriages amidst the stresses and strains of everyday living. Steven, You're kinda of missing the whole point. I personally feel it's a little bit discriminatory for our government leaders to proclaim "Marriage Week" in support of a business whose sole purpose is to make money from counseling married people.
