Rainy is available for adoption from Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.
Meet Rainy, a male, Lab/shepherd mix who is 8-12 months old and weighs around 40-50 pound. Rainy is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all his shots and vetting and is ready to find his forever home and family. Rainy has such a special story to tell. You see, this poor pup was used by someone to train another dog to fight. Precious Rainy is not a fighter at all - he's very loving and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. This dear boy was brought into animal control after a horrible fight with torn ears, multiple puncture wounds all around his head. As you can see in one of the pictures, Rainy actually lost the ear flap on the left side of his head that covered over the canal going into his ear. His injuries were horrific when he was …

Em is available for adoption from Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.
Meet Em, a Lab/mix female who's affectionately known as a "beautiful Georgia brown dog." She is 6 to 7 years old and weighs a "perfect" 50 pounds. Em is also spayed, microchipped, totally house-trained and crate-trained. Em's fosters only put her in her crate if they are going to be gone more than a few hours, as she is fine being loose in the home most of the time. She does seem to have a desire to help her human keep the house clean, so if you leave socks and old papers laying about, she will at times help you clean up by picking them up and taking them to her crate to chew on. Her foster mom says Em has never chewed on anything of substance. Em is also up-to-date on all her shots and preventatives with perfect vet records, and is a …

Gunther is available for adoption from Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.
Meet Gunther, a male German Shepherd/Corgi mix who is around 1 year old and weighs about 25 pounds. He may gain a bit more weight, but not much. This sweet boy has the face of a German Shepherd, but the body of a Corgi. Since he is so "low" to the ground, he's commonly referred to as a "low-rider,"but when it comes to love, this boy has a huge heart. Little Gunther is neutered, micro-chipped, up-to-date on all his shots and vetting and is ready for his new home and family. This boy came to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue when he was found as a stray, wandering around alone in a dangerous apartment complex in Gwinnett County. Since we have no other previous information on him, it's hard to know exactly what happened to him during his time on…

Sharpei mix available for adoption from Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.
Meet little Bunny - a beautiful Sharpei mix who's a pure bundle of sweetness and love. Bunny is 13 weeks old, weighs approximately 10 to 12 pounds, is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots and vetting and is ready to go to her forever home and family. This wonderful bundle of joy is 90 percent house- and crate-trained, although being young she will tend to whimper just a bit at first but quickly settles down and is no problem whatsoever in her crate. Bunny is great with other dogs, cats, children and adults - she has no aggression issues whatsoever. She is content to just curl up in a warm blanket an snooze away the day, but she is always up for a two-mile run with her foster, chasing the wind along the river trails for the afternoon…

Jaffe is available for adoption from Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.
Meet "Jaffe," a male Hound-mix dog who is 4 to 5 years old and weighs approximately 78 pounds. This boy is a tad overweight right now, but his foster is helping him slim down a bit. The vet says ideally he should weigh about 60 pounds and he was obviously overfed by his previous owners. He is neutered, house and crate-trained, up-to-date on shots and vetting and is microchipped. Jaffe is good with non-reactive, easygoing dogs but he's not been around felines, so we don't know how he would react - most hound mixes find them fun to chase, so probably no kitties for his home. He adores humans and attention from them. This boy is okay with kids, but does best with older ones who know not to jerk bones and toys out of his mouth. He can get…

Sugar Pie and Spices available for adoption from Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.
Meet "Sugar Pie and Spices," one totally adorable pair who are looking for their forever home and family through Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. Sugar Pie is approximately 4 years old and Spices is around 2 years old. They each weigh around 6 pounds. Both dogs are Chinese-Crested/Papillion mixes and were saved as part of a group of 20 dogs living with their owner inside the back of a van near Chatsworth, Ga. Sugar Pie is a female, and little Spices is a male. This pair is very bonded to each other, so Angels Rescue needs to find a loving home willing to open their doors and hearts for both. When you meet them, you quickly understand why Angels is working to have them adopted together. Each night, as they go to bed, they quickly scoot under …

An ideal home for this little dog would be a "quiet house where the owner is either retired or works from home."
Meet Ivan, a male Chihuahua mix who is approximately 3-4 years old and weighs 10 pounds. He is neutered, 90 percent house-trained, is up-to-date with all his shots and vetting, is micro-chipped and is ready to find the right, perfect family and forever home. Ivan came to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue from a high-kill shelter where he was dumped by his previous owner. As he was being left, his owner stated she "wanted nothing to do with him" and simply walked out. This precious dog was so traumatized by his experience, he had to be sedated at the vet's office when receiving his initial checkup and care. After knowing his background and circumstances, there is a strong suspicion of abuse and harm that little Ivan endured before being …

Ezra loves kids and is available for adoption through Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.
- VOLUNTEERS IN THE NEWS
Monday, January 21
Please meet sweet Ezra. He is a 2-4 year-old Corgi/Terrier mix who weighs around 17 pounds. This baby is truly 17 pounds of pure love and affection. There is nothing better in this world to him than having a child to love on him, pet him, and allow him to share lots of sweet kisses. Ezra is good with humans and other animals and is just the most wonderful little boy who enjoys everything and everyone. This dog was adopted by a couple who worked very long hours. This caused him to be kept in his crate for up to 20 hours a day. His owners didn't want him to potty in his crate, so they didn't give him much water and food. He had to sleep in soiled blankets every night for two years. When the organization they originally got him from wouldn'…

Katelyn is 2 years old and weighs 55 pounds.
- VOLUNTEERS IN THE NEWS
Monday, January 14
Meet beautiful Katelyn. She is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Anatolian Shepher mix who weighs 55 pounds and acts younger than her age. This precious girl is spayed, completely house-trained, up-to-date on all her shots and is micro-chipped. Katelyn's story with Angels Among Us Pet Rescue started when a volunteer found her daughter, Bertha, in a local high-kill shelter. When the volunteer arrived to save Bertha, she realized her mom (Katelyn) was also housed in the pen next to Bertha. Since Angels does not leave family behind, the volunteer lovingly took Katelyn with Bertha, and both were saved that day. What Angels didn't know at the time of rescue was that, once again, Katelyn was pregnant and wound up giving birth to nine …

Kirstie is 19 months old and weighs 30 pounds.
- VOLUNTEERS IN THE NEWS
Sunday, December 30, 2012
Meet Kirstie – a Spaniel/Beagle mix female who is 19 months old and weighs around 30 pounds. This poor girl and her siblings were found at the age of three months old in a high-kill shelter in Georgia and were rescued before their turn to be euthanized. All of these puppies had fear issues at the time of rescue and Kirstie most of all. She is timid and initially scared when she is in an area without boundaries/no fencing and takes her time building trust with humans and a bit longer with males, but, with patience, comes a reward of love and acceptance from this amazing young pup. Kirstie has a lot of energy and loves to run laps in the back yard and in the house. She is addicted to playing "chase" with her foster siblings and loves to …
