ma,
When I talked to Chief Merchant, he said that they were out in force looking for the handgun man, when another report came in of someone possibly hiding out in a house. It could have been the handgun man or an accomplice, hence the lockdown. I hope this answers your question.
Thanks!

David,
Thanks for your comment. I was going off of the following info provided by Canton PD: "Early Stages (dispatched: 10:48 am) of Reported Attempted Kidnapping of an Adult at First Baptist Church of Canton (11 Mission Point, Canton GA)" I took the "at" to mean "at the church." I will look for more clarification on this.
Thanks!

Change,
Even if the compensation increase passes. Beresford won't see a dime of "a raise." The increases will only be seen by future council members and mayors.

Canton-Sixes Patch Facebook user Sandy Woodward Beecham has this to say about the plans:
"This sounds to me as though Alpharetta is going to take steps BACKWARDS!! Their plan sounds insane. Intentionally making things more difficult for everyone is going to solve the problem? I think not!! If they were to build a direct highway, out of that neighborhood, then people would take it. That way they would not have to change the present roads."

Sarah,
The receptacles are located at the City Hall next to the other recycling containers, or at the Public Works Department off of Ridge Road. The receptacle is found where you would go to drop off any other recyclable materials. As for putting the grease in a glass jar, the City has confirmed you *can* do it, they just feel plastic containers would be safer for transportation,

Frank,
The City Council has nothing to do with these documents. This is all a Cherokee County initiative. It's up to the council whether or not to approve consolidation, though.

Youngmom,
I've already reached out someone in the city government about this. More calls will follow.
Best,

Chris and Sweeney,
I do not believe Patricia meant any disrespect when she made her comment. She is a very religious person and was simply answering kadee's question.
Thanks for your comments,
