Lindsey Davidson, Patch Staff
- Winchester, MA
Lindsey Davidson is the local editor for Wincester Patch. (Here is a quick guide to the site.) She grew up in Cumming, GA, where she graduated high school early to attend Auburn University. While studying journalism and waiting tables, which she swears to never do again, she worked at The Auburn Plainsman serving different roles including editor-in-chief. She was a videographer for the Rome News-Tribune and served as online editor for the News Publishing Company before coming to Patch in October 2010. She first served as editor for the Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch in Georgia before moving up North.
Your Beliefs
At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license for you to inject your beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that your beliefs are on the record will cause you to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. And if you ever see evidence that we failed in this mission, please let us know.

Politics
I am registered with the democratic party and would definitely label myself "liberal." However, I have a conservative family, and I am surrounded by many conservative friends and can appreciate their viewpoints.

Religion
I was raised in a baptist church, but found on my own that was not what I believed. I am not religious, but I also am not judgmental of other's beliefs or practices. I do believe in being compassionate toward others and accepting of other's differences whether that falls in the category of religion or anything else.
