Roswell PD Takes Part in 'Heroes and Helpers' Day

Officers will accompany underprivileged children to the Holcomb Bridge Road Target store Saturday to buy Christmas gifts.

Roswell Police Department public information officer Lisa Holland sends word that the department will be teaming up with Target this Saturday on “Heroes and Helpers” day. Here are the rest of the details she passed along:

A Target grant will assist 32 local underprivileged elementary school children, each of whom will get a $100 Target card to purchase gifts. Roswell police officers will accompany the children throughout the store to help them with their shopping.

In addition to the shopping spree, there will be a gift wrapping station, a cookie decorating station, a craft station, a breakfast station and a visit by Santa Claus!

Approximately 25 officers, 15 Citizens Police Academy graduates, civilian employees, and family members will be at the event to help make the morning a special occasion for the children. A special thank you to Krispy Kreme Donuts and Einstein Brother Bagels for donating breakfast!
